Claim Instructions

Claim Instructions

1. Tyre preparation:

  • Circle the reason for claim on the tyre.
  • Clearly write the claim date and the sequential item number (IN) on the tyre sidewall, i.e "01/26/00-1" (MM/DD/YY-IN) -
    this is your claim number.
  • Take a picture of the tyre capturing the claimed condition and claim number.
  • Write the claim number on the picture.
  • Remove the serial number with a defacing tool and staple it to the picture.
2. Claim form preparation:

  • Completely fill in all dealer information.
  • Enter the tyre brand and model, i.e.: "Advance Tyre , E-2G"
  • Enter the tyre size and ply rating, i.e.: "10.00-20 12PR"
  • Enter the complete serial number, i.e.: "4E2JTRS 148"
  • Enter the condition code, i.e.: "102 - Seperation". For a complete list reference the table provided at the bottom of this page. If there is no conditon code for your problem, please use "111 - Other" and describe your problem in the next line.
  • Enter the remaining tread depth.
  • Enter the case number as specified in point 1 (Tyre preparation).
  • Enter the selling dealer's name and adress.
  • Enter further information in all empty cells.
  • Enter the date and sign the document.
3. Picture Instructions:

We request you to send us at least 5 pictures clearly showing the following:

  • Sidewall (clearly showing brand, size and possible defects)
  • Pattern
  • Serial number
  • Remaining Tread Depth
  • Defects, if possible from different angles.

4. Please make sure the documents are provided in completly to allow a quick settlement of your claim/s. Claims with incomplete
    documents are not accepted.

5. How to measure tyre abrasion:

  • The degree of tyre abrasion can be determinded by comparing the groove of the used tyre with that of a new tyre of the same type. The difference in groove depth, will indicate the rate of wearing. The method of measuring a decrease in tyre weight to determine the degree of abrasion is not accepted by us.

  • Positions for measuring the groove depth:

    RIB-shaped patterns:

When grooves run in a circumferential direction, the depth should be measured at the deepest point of all grooves across the tread pattern, so that the remaining tread depth can be claculated.

    LUG-shaped patterns:

When grooves run in slantwise or lateral direction the position for measuring should be at a point approximately one-fourth the width of crown, measured from the crown center.

  • Method for measuring groove depth:

A depth gauge is used to measure the depth of given grooves.
